A Note From Your Retiring CEO

As I came to work this morning, no one was happier to see the leaves on the trees and the daffodils blooming than me! Yeah! Spring is really here!! This is a special spring for me as I will be retiring the end of May - yup, giving it up after 30 years running various non-profit organizations, the last 8 of them being right here with the Mental Health America of Pikes Peak Region and the other Pikes Peak Partnership agencies. MHA has been a true joy to work with. You are our eyes and ears to what is going on! Your hunger for information is amazing and your diligence to track down the latest finding, the most recent study, the news on the most current drug being tested is awesome. You have taught me so much.
People ask me what I plan on doing and you all know as well as I do that hobbies, travel, family and friends are what life is really all about. You have taught me that more than anyone! I hope to dabble in some governance consulting and facilitating, two big loves, but not until I sleep (a lot!) and get my personal life in order! The Partnership Board is actively interviewing candidates for my replacement. Whoever it is, they have a wonderful opportunity waiting for them and terrific people to work with. Thanks to all of you who have been so supportive the past eight years - it's been a great ride!
